Automatic Laundry recognizes that servicing community laundry rooms throughout the Northeast is an important part of helping people stay healthy and safe as we move through the COVID-19 pandemic. We are committed to maintaining local service and customer service while assuring the safety of our employees and clients as well as the residents and students who live in the communities we service.
We have activated our local response team that is monitoring the situation inside and outside of our company, addressing the ongoing needs of all of our constituents and making pragmatic business decisions as needed.
We have taken the following steps:
- We have instructed our employees to stay home if they exhibit ANY symptoms of being sick.
- We have reached out to our institutional clients to ensure that Automatic Laundry staff is adhering to any changes in protocol for providing services safely.
- We continue to educate our employees on good hand hygiene practices.
- As some clients have closed leasing offices, we are working to ensure residents can continue to utilize the laundry equipment in community laundry rooms.
We truly hope that these steps (and more to come) help ensure that our employees and customers are safe and help to avoid the spread of infections to the best of our ability.
We are also establishing ongoing communications with many clients, including universities and private boarding schools, to assess their site status and assure that we are adhering to their contingency plans.
We will continue following CDC guidance for businesses and will provide updates. We are committed to maintaining service in a way that is safe for all.
